Which language should I use for my project… PHP or ASP .NET?

I have to create an online gradebook for a class. I don’t know either very well (just the very basics). Which has better tools? Which has better support? Which would be better for this particular project? Are there any useful frameworks?

Whichever you are more comfortable with. Considering that you, by your own admission, don’t know either very well, I’d say, go with PHP; it’s much easier to learn and you can avoid object-oriented programming.

As to frameworks, I’d say, on a small project like this one, using one is going to be extremely counterproductive…
